I have tutored Latin, ancient Greek, ancient history, literature , art and architechture over the past few years.

These experiences have demonstrated my pateince and adaptability skills, as tutoring sessions were tailored to the needs of each student, and highlighted my organizational skills and enthusiasm for my subject.

In my tutoring sessions I aim to convey passion and enthusiasm, using the idea of ‘little and often’ to gradually build up students’ understanding of their subject, creating a concrete knowledge base which can be substantiated outside the classroom.? Setting aims for each session will allow the student to see and chart their own progress,? motivating them to improve further .? Tackling the student’s weakest area is important for maintaining their confidence in all areas of study; for example, by confronting a particularly tricky bit of Latin grammar, a student will feel better about approaching prose composition as a whole.

I have followed courses run by AQA (English GCSE and History GCSE and A Level) and OCR (Latin GCSE and A Level).
